We all eased our way slowly and gently into Sunday morning, after a lovely evening at Catherine and Harshal’s last night. Great hosts, and lots of interesting people. Great wine, too, naturally enough.
In yet another case of small-world-itis, one of their guests last night was a young Sunday Times journalist, Nicola Smith, whose article about child labour in Delhi I read with such horror 2 weeks ago in London.
All today it has been hot and muggy, and looking as though it was going to rain, but never quite getting there, so the rubble-filled drain outside the house hasn’t been put to the test. Eden and Cal are due over anytime now, to catch up with Alison, so I will make this brief, especially because there really isn’t too much earth-shattering news for you, today.
There is, though, an important update on the saga of the luxury, air-conditioned 5-star toilets.
And don’t you just love the Judge’s name ?
Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be any more bad Games news…well, read today’s news in my Commonwealth Games Countdown section. How can I still persuade Jane to come, in the face of all this relentlessly bad news ?
I love this photo in today’s Times of India :
I have a delicious word of the day for you, straight out of this morning’s Economic Times :
Yogalogist.
Alison and Himmat were speculating what a yogalogist would be in French – a yogalogue, perhaps ?

yogagiste?
oui, pas mal.
