I am really chuffed with my T shirt & mug & sipper (love that word – going to start using it, as part of my new pro-CWG-street-credibility).
So it would be really churlish of me to complain, right ?

As I type, the rain is bucketing down, thunder is rumbling away, and if I didn’t have to venture out in a short while, I would be happy and snug at home.
As it is, I have to head out into the monsoon traffic mayhem, and if it is anything like this morning – when it wasn’t even raining - I am in for a grim afternoon. Vasant Vihar – Ladoo Serai – Chanakyapuri is on the agenda for the next 3 hours. Should be fun.

I have so misunderstood these Games.
It’s not about the sport, silly, it’s about corruption – no, hang on, scratch that - it’s all about shopping.
And mega-events.
And a camping site in the middle of the city.

Whew, and there was silly old me planning on going to watch lawn bowls, or archery, and dragging my poor long-suffering sister Jane with me. Instead, now we can go to Gurgaon, and sit in an A/C tent with an LCD TV.

There really is only one story in Delhi these days and it’s the incessant rain.
Oh, well actually, there is also the Commonwealth Games fiasco, so make that 2 stories.
No, hang on, there’s dengue fever, too, so make that 3 stories.
