Now this is all rather humbling, but I have discovered that I am possibly not that devoted a blogger as I had previously thought.
These last few days in Joburg and now in Mauritius, and what have I done ?
Well, basically, I have not blogged as regularly as I should have done. Been having far too much fun, going to the World Cup, seeing friends, having a jol.
Let’s just say I am recharging my blogging batteries, shall we ?

Sawubona from Satara Camp, which is about 95 km further north than where we were based for the last 3 nights.
Sadly, this is our last night in the bush.
Though that means, of course, it’s back to dear old Joburg tomorrow, and then, The Game.

I am sitting in the office in beautiful Port Louis - which is one of my favourite capital cities, in all the world – while Himmat has a board meeting, and then we head off north to stay with Sydney and Anne-Marie. We are just here for one night, en route to Jo’burg tomorrow, but we are back again in 10 days.
Mauritius is cool - well, 28C is cool after Delhi - and oh-so-green, and clean. As ever, when I come back to the country that was home for 5 years, I feel happy and, well, I feel [...]

After a very windy night and a windy day, the temperatures have definitely come down a little, but as my friend Maeve commented, there is a price to pay, and it’s the dust. It is everywhere. My lips and eyes feel gritty, and every surface in the house is covered in a film of dust, despite the windows being closed.
This morning at the club, Kailash told me that these strong winds are from the east, and will bring rain.
