Today has been devoted to re-working this blog, which will soon have a new look. Himmat has done sterling work, reading through all the complicated programming instructions, and inshallah, in a day or so, Delhi Diary will be sleeker and altogether sexier looking.
So a day glued to the computer, with not too much gadding about, which is a pain anyway in this heat. I did make an ill-fated attempt to go buy my next Book Club book at Aurobindo Place, but got defeated by the traffic.

I hope your Easter Sunday has been as lovely as mine – Hari arrived this morning from London, exhausted, sleepy, but bringing chocolate. What more could I ask ?
Apart from a long, complicated saga getting to Mass this morning, which involved 2 churches and getting up an hour earlier than necessary, the day has been lazy and at home. Today has been a day for my achieving friends to be in the media spotlight.
So, what do I see first thing this morning, when I open the Times of India ? Julian and The Car in all their colourful glory.
Fame. Success. Times of India gossip column. It doesn’t get bigger than this.
But you read all about The Gorgeous Car here in my blog first ( 21 November & 30 January if you don’t believe me).

Well, Carine and I got it wrong. It wasn’t 40 degrees at all yesterday. Just a “whopping” 38.6 degrees.
So what on earth were we cribbing about ?
I don’t think I dare ask how long is “a matter of time” ? I fear we’ll be having that champers this weekend.
So if I can’t crib about the weather, I can at least crib about the traffic. Believe it or not, our recently opened flyover was reverse-engineered over the weekend, and now we can no longer use the new bridge to come in from the airport and Gurgaon, [...]
