Willying around with a she-mole

Funny the ways things happen.

Off I went to Old Delhi last night with Pamela, who shared some of her special street food places with me, and what do I see when opening the “Hindustan Times” this morning, but 2 articles about street food in Old Delhi.  Flavour of the month, quite clearly.

Snipped hair and zeitgeist

I dropped Anjulie at the airport last night for her flight to Dubai and onto London, and, feeling so very downcast and sad as I always do when my children are not within hugging distance, I headed back to Vasant Vihar and a lovely dinner with Carine.

Carine sweetly took me out for a fabulous dinner to cheer me up, at that smart fusion restaurant in Emporio, “Zest”.  No, wait, hang on, it’s changed its name since I was last there, and is now called “Setz”.

Gotta love India.

Paying for your sins, Delhi style

Another hot, hot day today, though it dawned cool and pleasant and even a tad chilly.  These early morning 5 km walks through the forest with Yoda are a life-safer : exercise, chat and catch up with friends, and then back home by 8.30-ish, beating the heat.  And it’s still only March.

Another day of admin, paper-work, and dredging through dusty old files.  Well, it was too hot to go out loafing anyway. Loafing, now there’s a good Indian word.

A weekend of farewells & a moving cup of tea

It seems to be all go here in Delhi at the moment, with lots of friends on the move.

After a wonderful weekend of polo, the Delhi season ended on a fun note yesterday afternoon.  Playing in the exhibition game were 3 good friends, Carine, Monica and Amer, so  we had lots of people to cheer for. (It was great to have 2 women playing, as well, as we head into International Womens Day).
