I have been slacking off quite shamelessly, I admit it. Since we arrived in sun-drenched Europe on Friday, it’s been non-stop. Sun+friends+family+deep blue skies (quite odd for England)+far too much socialising. And the blog has been the first victim of all this fun and frivolity, I am the first to admit it.
I feel a quick round-up is the least I can do.
We had a wonderful 3 days in London, where we stayed with Liz in hot, tropical Ealing. My godson Rupert was there, which was a treat, as he heads off next week for his year abroad. [...]

Sitting in the lounge at the airport in Mauritius, all checked in and ready to go. Had a moment of hope, when the check-in girl said the flight was overbooked. Visions of being offloaded and getting to spend more time here. But ’twas not to be.
So, back to Delhi it is, but only for a few days, since we leave on Friday for France and England : London & polo, Paris, then a holiday in the Dordogne with Sue Ollemans, rounding off with Hari’s graduation ceremony at Exeter – so lots more excitement to look forward to.

Today began very, very early, even by my standards.
Tifi, our over-weight Garfield look-a-like, decided to wake me up at 4.45 am. So I had coffee on the terrace, in the dark, listening to the really early birds beginning to wake up, & being simultaneously chomped by mosquitoes. Quite odd. Tifi, of course, promptly went back to sleep.
Off to the club with the ever enthusiastic Yoda, to find the place bustling with activity at 6.20. The first day of the Delhi Horse Show was in full swing. Since the day had started oddly, I decided to go with [...]

It seems to be all go here in Delhi at the moment, with lots of friends on the move.
After a wonderful weekend of polo, the Delhi season ended on a fun note yesterday afternoon. Playing in the exhibition game were 3 good friends, Carine, Monica and Amer, so we had lots of people to cheer for. (It was great to have 2 women playing, as well, as we head into International Womens Day).
