So India is not exactly open for business, after all

Well, I was NOT expecting this, I must admit.

International flights to/from India remain suspended, other than the “bubble” arrangements already in place. This is today’s official announcement:

The $64,000 dollar question is how long is “till further orders”?

Yeah, I know, how long is a piece of string etc., etc.

I was pretty sure that flights would resume, after the general easing up of Covid rules all over the country – and overseas, too, let’s not forget – but clearly the Powers That Be have decided that there is still too much risk out there.

In which case, we have no other choice than to accept their decision.

And for me this means a further as-yet-unspecified time without seeing my children…2 years and counting 🙁

In the interests of full disclosure (which is what this blog is all about, right? 😛 ) since we have domestic travel plans in March and April, we probably wouldn’t be heading immediately overseas in any case, but it would be nice to have the option.

Ah well.

Stay safe and stay sane, everyone 🙂
