Was Delhi looking fab or what, this morning?
I went for a slow trot around the Lodhi Gardens this morning, and should anyone feel remotely interested in my Strava stats, they will indeed see that I was the slowest person on planet earth this morning.
And that was because I stopped about every nano-second, to watch bees on gorgeous fat poppies…to admire the monuments in the Lodhi Gardens – and, also, let’s be honest – to fume about the mindless graffiti that defaces these glorious tombs…to marvel at the flowers…to enjoy the amazing rainbows created by the fountains…
So yes, a myriad reasons for a slow trot, but Delhi was at peak loveliness, and so obviously had to be admired 🙂
Well, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!
Here ya go – flowers and bees and rainbows galore.
Enjoy. I certainly did.
You took me to the Lodhi gardens when I visited you!
Lovely photos, Christine. I love the Lodhi gardens, and have many lovely memories, including those of moonlit picnics, from my teenage years in Delhi.
Rehana Fazli moonlit picnics must’ve been fun, but doubt one can do that nowadays.
